Following admission to the state bar of Texas in 1989, Kathy Ongert went into private practice as a solo practitioner in family law, personal injury, wills and probate, contract law and bankruptcy. Steve Ongert went to work for a law firm practicing family law.
In August of 1990, Kathy D. Dean (now Kathy D. Ongert) formed the law firm of Dean & Ongert, P.C. They joined together and concentrated their practice in family law and personal injury.
